Reveal What’s Hidden

This past week I was awestruck by the hidden talent of someone close to me. Hilarious by nature, the humor equally as present in written word, it was something I was unaware of previously. I read somewhere once that a woman didn’t know what she was thinking until she began to write, and I can absolutely attest to that. Often I take photo, or think of a topic and run with it; thoughts pouring out onto the keys, messages that I would not have been able to articulate in the same way had it been through a verbal discussion. Reading his story, fighting through the tears of laughter, it makes me wonder how much talent is lying beneath the surface in those who surround us; how much talent is left untapped in the students in school, yearning to learn and be understood. What measures must we take as friends, partners, teachers and leaders to create a channel to allow the flow of creative energy, talent and raw emotions to breathe life into their existence. What we see on the surface is just the tip of greatness. I’ve never realized that so much as I do now. With each passing week, I experience something new with my special someone, something unexpected and fresh. Imagine what we could experience with those around us, with nature, with the world, if offered our unending love to more than our closest few; if we aspired to spread greatness and do good by others as He does for us. Praying for change is a start, praying for greatness, success, love and peace is important, but a huge piece of creating change is action, and that means not just having the thought for change, but putting your ideas into motion.
